You will have the opportunity to do different sports activities such as buggy, kayak, hiking, mountain bike and zip lines in varied natural environments (desert, altiplano, rainforest, etc). Arrival in the airport of Lima, welcome and transfer to your hotel. Night in hotel in Lima.
Early morning departure by bus to Paracas located on the famous Pan-American road by the Pacific side. Upon your arrival, boat trip towards the Ballestas islands and discovery of the local marine wildlife : sea lions, pelicans, auks and other sea birds. Then continuation towards Ica for a visit of a bodega where the famous Pisco, the national alcohol of Peru, is produced. After the visit, continuation towards the oasis of Huacachina where you will have the possibility to make some sandboard and buggy on the sand dunes. Night in hotel in the Oasis of Huacachina.
Return by bus to Lima to take a flight to Arequipa. Rest of the day free in order to acclimatize you with the alitude. Night in hotel in Arequipa.
On the morning, rafting activity on the Chili river, in the valley of Chilina. Free afternoon in Arequipa. Night in hotel in Arequipa.
Early morning departure to the Colca cañon and the Cruz del Condor, a mirador offering a spectacular view on the canyon of Colca and from where you could observe the flight of the largest bird of the world: the condor. Continuation to Cabanaconde and the Mirador of San Miguel where begins your trek until San Juan de Chuccho. Night in bungalow. *6 hours of walk; +150 m / -1040 m of height difference
Second day of your trek through different villages such as Cosnirhua and Malata, where you will visit the museum. During this day, you will meet the local communities, discover their culture and lifestyle. Arrival at the Oasis, a peaceful place where you could enjoy the swimming pool ! Night in bungalow. *6 hours of walk; +830 m / -650 m of height difference
Early in the morning, ascension towards Cabanaconde (about 3 hours). Then, transfer by vehicle to Chivay. On the road, stop at the village of Maca, where you will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the canyon for the last time. In the afternoon, departure by touristic bus to Puno. Arrival in the evening. Night in hotel in Puno. *6 hours of walk; +1070 m / -100 m of height difference
Day to excursion on the Titicaca lake. You go first to the flotting islands Uros by kayak. Then, you continue the navigation towards the Amantani island. Here, you could walk until the Pachatata (4200 m), and enjoy a magnificent sunset on the lake, if the weather permits. Night in homestay in Amantani.
Continuation of your excursion on the Titicaca lake to the Taquile island. Here the lifestyle of the inhabitants has preserved its community organization inherited from the inca period. Return to Puno in the evening. Night in hotel in Puno.
Departure by touristic bus to Cusco. On road, stops for visits : the village of Pukara, the pass of La Raya (4360 m), symbolizing the end of Altiplano and the begining of the region of Cusco ; having lunch in Sicuani ; the inca sanctuary of Raqchi ; the San Pedro church in the village of Andahuaylillas, also known as the “Sistine chapel” of South America. Night in hotel in Cusco.
In the morning, walking guided tour of Cusco, the inca capital: the San pedro market, the cathedral of Cusco and the Santo Domingo monastery, ancient temple of the Sun, also named Koricancha. Free afternoon. Night in hotel in Cusco.
Discovery of the Sacred valley by mountain bike. Your ride begins from Chinchero towards Moray and Maras. Visit of these sites, then continuation until Urubamba and then transfer to Ollantaytambo. Night in hotel in Ollantaytambo.
Today, a new adventure waits for you : discovery of the Sacred valley during an activity od Zipline. Then, transfer to Ollantaytambo to take the train to Aguas Calientes, a small town located at the foot of the Machu Picchu. Night in hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Very early in the morning, guided visit of the most famous Inca site of the Peru: the Machu Picchu. Then, free time to ascend the Huyana Picchu or the Montaña (subject to availability) before taking the train back to Cusco. Night in hotel in Cusco.
Flight to Lima, and connection with your international flight.
You will be accompanied by a local private English speaking guide at every stage of the journey. This means you will have a different guide for each region you will visit, depending on their specialization. The level of English of the guides varies from one region to another. A few exceptions: - The trips in public transports (buses, shuttles, trains and internal flights) are not escorted.
In Peru, the hotel standards are different to what you may be accustomed to. Here are a few useful details on every type of accommodation: - Camp: thanks to the perfect organization of our cook(s) and muleteer(s), you could really rest after a good day of walking. We have a tent for the kitchen, another one for to take the meals, another one for the bathrooms. For two persons, you will have a tent with 3 places for more comfort. We also supply you a comfortable mattress and a basin of hot water at the beginning and at the end of the day for your toilet; and of course we prepare you warm and complete meals. - Homestay accommodation: Basic comfort, communal toilets, no hot water and sometimes no running water, simple but clean rooms, sometimes no electricity and the doors do not lock (however, there are no security problems). - 2** and 3*** hotels (local standards): comfortable rooms, simple and clean, private bathroom with hot water; some hotels offer rooms equipped with a safe, heating system, mini bar, … As far as our possibilities, we choose hotels whose geographical location will allow you to fully enjoy the town and its attractions.
In order to allow you more freedom during your trip, only a few meals are included in our programs: these are the meals during the treks (cold at noon and hot in the evening) and during certain excursions when the conditions make it necessary (on the Puno-Cusco road, in the Sacred Valley, etc). For the non-included meals, expect 5 to 10 USD per person. This allows you to choose the time, place and menu according to your desires!
Most of the time of your trip, your travels will take place in private vehicles: you will have at your service a private vehicle with a Spanish speaking driver who will adapt to your rhythm (photo stop, shopping, etc. …). Exceptions: - For the touristic buses Chivay-Puno and Puno-Cusco - Lima trips, you will travel in a comfortable and secure bus line with an English / Spanish speaking colelctive guide.
